1. Overview
This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all purchases made from The DPF Company. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Return Period
Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of the date the order was delivered.
Requests submitted after 30 days are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless required by applicable law.
3. Eligible Returns
To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:
- The item is unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
- The item is returned in original packaging, including all parts, accessories, and documentation
- The return request is submitted within 30 days of delivery
- The return has been authorized in writing by The DPF Company
Returned items may be inspected upon receipt. Items that do not meet these conditions may be refused or returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
4. Non-Returnable Items
Unless required by law, the following items are non-returnable:
- Gift cards
- Engines and engine assemblies
- Complete aftertreatment systems
- Custom or special-order products
- Clearance or final sale items
- Opened or installed electrical components (including sensors, modules, or electronics)
- Any product marked as non-returnable at the time of sale
5. Restocking Fees
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%, depending on the product type and condition upon return.
Restocking fees are deducted from the refund amount prior to processing.
6. Refunds
Once a returned item is received and inspected:
- You will be notified by email regarding approval or rejection of your refund
- Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider
The following costs are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law:
- Original shipping charges
- Duties, taxes, or brokerage fees
- Return shipping costs
7. Exchanges – Manufacturer Defects Only
Exchanges are permitted only in the event of a verified manufacturer defect and must be requested within 30 days of delivery.
We do not offer exchanges for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Incorrect part ordered
- Vehicle compatibility issues
- Installation errors or improper installation
- Damage caused during installation or use
- Normal wear and tear
- Buyer’s remorse or change of mind
Defect Exchange Process
To request an exchange due to a manufacturer defect, the customer must:
- Contact orders@thedpf.co within 30 days of delivery
- Provide the original order number
- Submit supporting documentation, which may include:
- Photos or videos of the alleged defect
- Installation details
- Diagnostic or service reports, where applicable
- Return the product for inspection if requested
All defect claims are subject to review and approval by The DPF Company and, where applicable, the original manufacturer.
If a manufacturer defect is confirmed, we may, at our discretion:
- Replace the product with the same or an equivalent item, or
- Issue a refund in accordance with this policy
Shipping costs associated with approved defect exchanges may be covered at our discretion. No exchanges will be processed without prior written authorization.
8. Return Shipping
All returns require prior authorization.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except in cases of confirmed manufacturer defects
- Shipping costs are non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund
- We recommend using trackable shipping and insurance for returns, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments
9. Order Cancellations
If an order is canceled prior to shipment, a cancellation or processing fee may apply. This fee may range from 3% to 8% depending on payment method and processing costs.
Orders that have already shipped cannot be canceled and must follow the return process outlined above.
10. Consumer Rights Notice
Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy limits or excludes any rights granted under applicable consumer protection laws in Canada or the United States, including statutory rights related to defective or misrepresented goods.
Where applicable consumer protection laws apply, those laws will take precedence over this policy.
